mollie gloss is a seasoned makeup artist with over 16 years of experience and works in fashion, art, beauty, and the music industries. She does it all: macro shot beauty e-commerce shoots with brands like MAC Cosmetics and Too Faced, fashion editorials for magazines like Numero Netherlands and V Magazine, album covers for artists like Ravyn Lenae, advertorials and campaigns for brands like Nike x Paper Magazine and Miss Sixty, or being the key artist for fashion shows like Jordan Bradfield FW24 and American Universo SS25

Her work is ever-evolving and can evoke both vibrancy and softness, maximalism and minimalism, and the dichotomy of doing the most with the least. From the natural to the fantastical: sharp lines and lashes, frosts and shifting chromes, punchy pouts, and fresh skin are consistent in her work. Her inspirations range from the likes of David Bowie, Billy B, the Spice Girls, to all of the glamorous technicolor insects on the planet. She often finds herself inspired by the work of all the insanely talented people she gets to work with, too.

Her work has been featured in campaigns for Nike, Doc Martens, and Glossier, and her artistry has appeared in Office Magazine, Teen Vogue, Nylon, and Allure. Mollie has collaborated with musicians such as Bebe Rexha, Doechii, J.T, Phoebe Bridgers, Rico Nasty, Zsela, Yendry, Brooke Candy, Clairo, Pom Pom Squad, BK the Rula, and the legendary Megan Thee Stallion. She has also worked with Olympians like Stef Dolson, Megan Rapinoe, Crystal Dunn, and cultural icons like actress Jinkx Monsoon.

On set, Mollie is known for her calm and flexible presence, always prioritizing client comfort while working harmoniously with stylists and crew. Her midwest roots in a small market like Chicago have made her a versatile artist, capable of everything from fresh, natural skin to fully conceptual artistic paints, embellishments, airbrush, and body painting. She’s been known to execute fully sweat-proof makeup for sports or live stage performances, waterproof looks for music videos, and can execute macro-lens-no-retouching-allowed beauty looks with precision for cosmetic brand e-commerce shoots.

Outside of her work on set, Mollie consults with both her clients and with beauty brands, offering expertise in product formulation, color development, creative marketing, art direction, and education. She has contributed to beauty articles, appeared on The Life of a Makeup Artist and the Dewey Dudes podcasts, and was recently featured on a Glossier panel discussing all things lip liner. Her content creation includes work for brands like Youth to the People.

Mollie is represented by Agency Paradis for all artist related work, her portfolio can be found here. Please contact Lucy@paradisnyc.com
